Self-Care to Combat Chronic Stress
Everyone has times where they feel stressed, whether it be from work, school exams or home life.
But recently we have seen the world as we knew it change due to Covid. We all have worries over health, travel and regulations on the life we lead changing.
We have a lot of uncertainty to deal with, but what we can do is take care of our minds and bodies as best we can for ourselves and to be able to adapt to changes and thrive.
Take a few moments to close your eyes and see how your body feels. Does it feel calm, peaceful, and relaxed or can you feel a prickly tension in your body?
Try taking a few slow deep breathes and do some gentle shoulder lifts or take a little walk and you will feel your stress levels start to lower.
Research has shown that stress can really harm your health. It weakens the immune system, making us more susceptible illness.
With so many people struggling with finances you may be thinking that self-care is a privilege today.
But if you can take a little time for yourself, you will handle everything with calm and a better insight.

- Feeling constantly tired
- Not sleeping well.
- Feeling Grumpy/angry
- Not feeling generous
- Negative thoughts/ racing thoughts.
- Feeling unwell /headache /unset stomach.
